Summer Karate Camp 2008

Prepare for a fun filled summer

Dates

  • Monday June 16 through Friday June 20
  • Monday June 23 through Friday June 27
  • Monday July 14 through Friday July 18

Camp times: 9:00am to 4:00pm

8:30am Early drop off available - additional $5 per day. (Please make arrangements in advance if early drop-off is required.)

Please be sure to pick up your child promptly at 4:00 when camp ends, as our regular karate class schedule begins shortly thereafter. Thank you.

Cost

  • 1 Day - $ 38.00
  • 1 Week - 150.00

Second child (sibling) receives a $30 discount when registering for a full week. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required by June 1st to reserve space.

A few things to note:

  • Children must bring their own bag lunch and two snacks, except on Fridays when we have our B.B.Q. On Monday and Wednesday, please pack a bathing suit and towel for swimming at Ives Pool. On Friday the children are encouraged (but not required) to bring “wheels” i.e., their bike, skates, scooter, etc., and a helmet, of course.
  • Parents are encouraged to sunscreen/sunblock their child each day before coming to daycamp. Be advised that we might also “reapply” additional sunscreen to the children on swim days. If you do NOT want your child to have sunscreen, please let us know in advance. Thank you.
  • The outdoor parks we will be taking the children to are within walking distance.
  • Students need not be enrolled in prior karate classes to participate in camp.
  • Please wear comfortable “grubby” clothing. Karate uniforms will not be worn during camp. Comfortable walking shoes are a good idea, as we will do a lot of walking.

Some activities we’ll enjoy this summer are:

  • karate skills and drills
  • Indoor rope swing
  • relays and games
  • sports and fitness activities
  • swimming Monday and Wednesday at Ives Pool
  • “Wheel Day” BBQ picnic Friday at Ragle Park

Registration

To register for Summer Karate Camp, you can print out a registration form, or drop by the karate school and pick one up in person.

Your completed registration form and a $50 non-refundable deposit are due by June 1st to reserve your child's spot.
